Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is representing a world-leading professional services firm seeking an Assistant General Counsel for their In-House Legal Team. The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial lawyer with expertise in technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI. The role involves providing practical, business-focused legal advice to global business and corporate services partners.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide legal support on various legal and regulatory matters for a global professional services organization.
Advise on technology, data privacy, data protection, AI, and related issues; support daily commercial and regulatory legal matters.
Manage compliance with relevant laws and regulations across jurisdictions and within network policies.
Support Technology and Risk Management teams with legal expertise.
Develop and implement governance, policies, procedures, and playbooks.
Review and advise on new services and solutions, focusing on legal and regulatory issues.
Manage external legal counsel across jurisdictions, ensuring cost-effective and efficient work.
Deliver practical advice while managing risk and compliance.
Present on legal topics and write articles.
Mentor and support junior team members.
About You:
UK-qualified lawyer (or equivalent outside the UK) with significant experience at a major law firm or in-house.
Proven expertise in leading complex legal and regulatory matters.
Strong risk management and strategic thinking skills.
Experience negotiating and drafting agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Capable of balancing legal risk with business needs in a fast-growing global environment.
Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills.
