Job Summary
This role involves working with automated technology to ensure continuous reliability and efficiency in a dynamic production environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC code, activate workarounds, or modify temporary modifications as needed.
* Investigate live production PLC systems using online monitoring tools to identify and diagnose faults or failures.
* Provide front-line issue investigation of non-code related issues using relevant diagnostic tools for equipment like Profibus/Can Bus networks and Bar Code Readers.
* Roll out and monitor bug fixes, tuning, or code upgrades for control systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience as an engineer within Automated MHE systems.
* Good technical and hands-on ability relating to automation hardware and software with strong electrical experience.
* A formal qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent).
* Knowledge of PLC control system architecture and field control devices.
