Job Description
Due to continued growth our friendly team in St Helens have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner to join their team on a full time permanent basis!
As a Supply Chain Planner you willwork closely with existing customers and manage potential new businesses; liaise with other departments e.g. Production, Warehouse and Quality ensuring that customers expectations and demands are met to deadline.
Salary: £32,000-£34,000 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
Key Duties of a Supply Chain Planner:
Monitoring and ordering the stock of ingredients and packaging so that production may efficiently achieve customer requirements.
Expediting and delaying orders as required.
Communicating with customers to advise of any issues and manage their expectations accordingly.
Liaising with customers and suppliers for the call-off of free-issue components and packaging.
Creating and managing vision data, including stock codes, BOMs, stocking levels, etc.
Coordinating all departments to ensure new projects launch successfully.
Working closely with the Planning team to schedule the planning of production and manage the day to day matters affecting logistics.
Developing and maintaining customer third part systems, including SAP and Oracle.
Organising logistics and booking in vehicles for the warehouse as required.
Controlling purchase orders for goods and ensuring tight control of paperwork and procedures.
Performing stock reconciliations and stock balances, reporting results internally and to customers.
Active involvement in the process of internal auditing.
Qualifications
Previous experience within a similar role managing stock, etc.
Administrative experience within a fast-paced customer driven environment.
Proven knowledge in running/actioning MRP, planning, logistics and production supply.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, with a positive attitude.
Proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work using own initiative.
PC literate with experience in MS Excel, along with excellent attention to detail.
Strong understanding of the importance of providing high customer service standards.
