Overview
Band 8b Clinical/Counselling Psychologist - 1.0 wte - Community Mental Health Team (Psychosis). Our Community Mental Health teams are multi-disciplinary and support adults with significant mental health problems including psychosis. We are looking for a clinical/counselling psychologist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people experiencing psychosis.

Responsibilities
* Provide psychological interventions to people with psychosis and related complexity in the community, supporting recovery and reducing social exclusion and stigma.
* Offer leadership in psychology within the team and contribute to Trust-wide service development.
* Support Clinical Psychology trainees, Clinical Associates in Psychology and other practitioners in training and development.
* Collaborate with senior colleagues on team and service development and participate in new pathways for psychosis care.
* Promote recovery-focused practices and work flexibly to meet the needs of the client group.
* Develop and participate in training opportunities (e.g., Family Interventions, CBT for Psychosis, EMDR) and engage with available training platforms and psychology skills development teams.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (clinical or counselling).
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology (or equivalent for those trained outside the UK), including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more psychological therapies, and lifespan development.
* Post-doctoral training in additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
* Doctoral-level knowledge of research design and methodology; high level knowledge of at least two specialised psychological therapies.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to provide consultation and training to diverse groups.
* Willingness to travel across the Trust’s geographical area and work flexibly to meet client needs.
Desirable
* BABCP accreditation or current BABCP-accredited CBT training; commitment to CBT for psychosis training is highly desirable.
* Interest or experience in ACT, Compassion Focused Therapy and EMDR.
Other Information
* Travel across a large geographical area and flexibility in working patterns are essential.
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Update Service registration is mandatory for newly appointed staff.
* UK professional registration required.
