To lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure reactive and preventative technical support is provided efficiently and effectively to achieve production targets and customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Supervising a small team of Maintenance Technicians on a 2-shift rotor
* Safely managing risk assessments and COSHH for maintenance team.
* 2nd Escalation call for equipment breakdowns.
* Ensuring all maintenance activity is carried out in a safe, timely manner to a high standard.
* Ensuring there is sufficient maintenance cover for production hours and overtime hours where necessary.
* Managing external contractors on site including all relevant documentation
* Providing technical support to achieve production output standards.
* Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
* Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault finding.
* Advising on technical issues, liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities
* Monitoring machine performance

Skills and experience required:
* Qualified to 18th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical.
* Previous experience leading a team.
* Proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics.
* IT literate and able to navigate systems easily.
* Organised and initiative-taking with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems.
* A flexible approach to work and the desire to thrive in a dynamic and exciting fast-moving environment.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Initiative-taking with the determination to succeed.
* UK driving license and be available to support visits to supplier sites.

* Previous experience in an automotive environment
* Experience of working within IATF16949 quality system environment
