Overview
Manufacturing Assembler role at GE Vernova. Manufacture large power transformers, ensuring assembly, inspection, and test conducted using Lean methodology.
Responsibilities
* Work to specifications and instructions, using correct tools and methods.
* Meet exacting standards expected by the customer.
* Build product to the manufacturing plan, ensuring on-time delivery and build quality.
* Implement continuous improvement actions that result in sustainable productivity improvements without impairing product quality, delivery performance, or safety.
* Propose improvements and savings in line with GE processes and policies using the Employee Ideas Scheme.
* Maintain routine maintenance schedules and cleaning plans for workstations, jigs, and fixtures.
* Assist with “Touch Screen technology” and IT skills as required.
* Adapt to all future business requirements and support any other duties that may be required to support the manufacturing facility.
Qualifications
* Good general standard of education with confirmed educational qualifications.
* Significant experience in the light mechanical assembly environment or similar.
* Electrical or electronic qualifications may be an advantage.
* Manual handling expertise, mechanical or electrical aptitude a plus.
* Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques, Kanban and Flow / Pull techniques a plus.
* Ability to work as part of a team, understand EHS compliance and safe working practices.
* Interpretation of diagrams, drawings and schematic details required.
* Adaptability to use of Touch Screen technology and IT skills.
