<div><h3>Senior Scientist – Radar & Signal Processing</h3><p>Join QinetiQ’s Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) site as a Senior Scientist. In this role you will lead advanced radar and signal‑processing activities, providing technical authority and direction across complex projects that support our customers and operational capability.</p><p>Hours: 37 per week. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites is expected.</p><p>SC clearance is required.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead the development and optimisation of models, simulations and analytical tools.</li><li>Provide technical leadership across radar and signal‑processing projects.</li><li>Design and assess advanced signal‑processing chains and algorithms.</li><li>Interpret complex datasets and present clear recommendations to customers.</li><li>Support bid activities and technical governance.</li><li>Mentor and develop junior scientists and engineers.</li></ul><h3>Essential Experience</h3><ul><li>Significant experience in radar, signal processing, algorithm development or modelling and simulation.</li><li>Proven ability to lead complex technical work packages or projects.</li><li>Strong background in applied mathematics and physics.</li><li>Programming experience in MATLAB or other languages such as Python or C++.</li><li>Experience working with customers and stakeholders, influencing technical decisions.</li><li>Demonstrable mentoring or technical leadership experience.</li></ul><h3>Essential Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Degree in Science or Engineering (Physics, Mathematics or similar).</li><li>Substantial relevant industry or research experience.</li></ul><h3>Eligibility</h3><p>All applicants must be eligible for SC clearance.</p></div>
