Shift Manager Allington, Kent Salary: Negotiable (DOE) A leading environmental services company is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at a key facility. This role combines operational leadership with a strong focus on health, safety, environmental compliance, and team performance. Key Responsibilities: Supervise operations team and contractors to meet safety and performance targets Lead on SHEQ compliance, incident investigations, and workplace safety Coordinate outages, DCS operations, and maintenance planning Support training, team development, and operational improvement initiatives Act as Incident Controller during emergencies Ensure adherence to Environmental Permit conditions and safe systems of work Experience & Qualifications: Fully authorised (or working towards) to operate an EfW facility and SAP Level 2 Safety Rules Minimum 5 years' experience in plant operations or maintenance (preferably large boiler and rotating plant) Strong leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills HNC or equivalent in a technical or science discipline NEBOSH / IOSH qualified (or working towards) Competent with HV switching, risk assessments, and CMMS platforms (e.g., Nisoft, Gladis) This role offers an opportunity to take a lead position in a safety-critical, high-performance facility where continuous improvement is at the heart of operations.
