Job Duties and Responsibilities

Process a high volume of supplier invoices daily in Xero, ensuring accurate coding and appropriate authorisation.
*
Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices for three-way matching where applicable.
*
Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
*
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
*
Ensure timely preparation and processing of weekly/monthly payment runs via BACS.
*
Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships.
*
Assist with month-end procedures, including ledger close-off and reporting.
*
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
*
Continuously review and improve the purchase ledger process for efficiency.
*
Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required.
