Their capabilities include conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and intelligent warehouse control software. About the role: As a CAD Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our technical design process, creating detailed solution drawings and equipment specifications for high-impact automation projects. Working collaboratively with our Solutions and Engineering teams, you'll turn concepts into reality and ensure our designs meet the highest industry standards. What You'll Be Doing: * Support the Solution Design Team throughout the project development lifecycle * Lead the preparation of technical solution drawings and equipment application specifications * Stay current with technical developments and integrate the latest technologies into designs * Collaborate closely with Solutions and Engineering teams to refine and optimise designs * Ensure all technical drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines * Manage drawing files, maintain version control, and oversee component libraries * Mentor junior Solution Engineers in systems design principles and specification development Essential Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5 years' hands-on experience in material handling system design * Expert-level proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar platforms) * Strong technical understanding of material handling processes, tolerances, and system integration * Proven ability to create both concept designs and precise technical drawings from first principles * Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail * Strong communication and collaboration abilities across multidisciplinary teams * Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently * Knowledge of structural analysis and load calculations
