We are looking for a
Regional Talent ID Coach
to work within targeted communities to identify and develop talented female players from under-represented groups within South London and South East (aged 13-16), contributing to the delivery of an inclusive and accessible talent pathway. The team will deliver an outstanding talent pathway that provides a diverse pool of talent for future Women's England Teams. This is a fixed-term contract, ending on 31 July 2029. The role covers London and South East regions; applicants should reside in or be able to travel easily to these areas. A cover letter explaining your interest and how you meet the criteria is required. Interviews are scheduled for 18th September at The National Football Centre, St. George's Park. What will you be doing?
Support the FA Regional Talent Manager in delivering London's regional talent strategy and improving player pools for youth national teams (13-16). Identify, coach, and support talented players in South London and South East. Collaborate to support high potential players within the region. Deliver targeted Talent ID programs for under-represented groups. Work with communities and individuals to identify talent within the local football landscape. Organize Talent ID events providing opportunities for talented girls. Deliver technical coaching at regional and national Talent ID and development events. Develop projects to engage talented girls, aligned with the Regional Talent Strategy. Understand local challenges within hotspot areas. Build relationships with community groups and organizations supporting talent identification. Address barriers and support talented players from under-represented groups. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of players' journeys, support, and challenges. Utilize tracking systems to monitor individual progress. Provide data on players' progress to inform regional talent decisions. Support parent education and engagement programs. Understand talent indicators and how they apply to under-represented groups to reduce bias. Work with partners like the EFL Community Trusts and Premier League projects to extend talent outreach. Collaborate with the FA's Technical Team on Women's Technical Strategy. Attend departmental meetings and execute additional tasks as needed. Adhere to policies ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing; complete required DBS checks. What are we looking for?
