We have an opportunity for a full time Senior Business Support Officer within Children’s Services. This post is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
This exciting post will be working within our new ‘One Children’s Service’ which encompasses both Education and Social Care. As such, there will be a huge variety in terms of duties to be undertaken and knowledge gained from within a forward-thinking and highly supportive team.
You will have supervision responsibilities to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales. The role will also be responsible for the administration of the UNICEF Child Friendly Torbay Project.
The ideal candidates will have knowledge of the service and have good administrative skills, including IT, minute taking, diary management and general office administration. A sound knowledge of Microsoft applications would be an advantage.
In addition to this the candidates will have excellent communication skills, be able to prioritise work, be organised and committed to providing an excellent service in a challenging and fast paced environment.

Essential:

As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Experience of working with a range of IT software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Edge.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* O Level/GCSE standard (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
* Experience of working within a team.
* Experience of working in a busy office using a range of administration procedures.
* Experience of dealing with a range of enquiries both on the telephone and face to face.
* Experience of finding solutions to resources that ensures continuity of service provision.
