Job Description
Junior Laboratory Technician - Coleraine - Permanent Are you passionate about lab work and eager to gain hands-on experience in a laboratory environment? This is your chance to join our clients leading organisation where you’ll develop valuable skills and contribute to their Quality Control Laboratory team. The Role:
1. £Negotiable salary
2. Annual bonus of 8% on top of salary
3. Full time
4. Monday - Friday
5. Permanent position
Duties:
6. Maintain accurate and legible records of all samples submitted into the laboratory
7. Administration of Certificate of Analysis and other product related documentation
8. Data trending
9. Equipment Daily Calibrations
10. Ordering of laboratory chemicals and consumables
11. Daily/ weekly/ monthly laboratory checks on equipment as required
12. Chemical/waste and sample disposal
13. General housekeeping in the laboratory including glassware rotation
14. Preparation of solutions, buffers and eluents
15. Support the Analytical Chemists
16. Be flexible to demands of the role.
EHS Responsibilities:
17. Ensures that the Engineering Department conforms with company quality and EHS policies, procedures and management system requirements and complies with GxP and EHS regulatory requirements.
18. Contributes to achievement of EHS performance targets by:
19. Participating in EHS Meetings.
20. Carrying out periodic EHS inspections.
21. Periodically reviewing risk assessments.
22. Reporting near misses/ raising good suggestions.
23. Managing contractors ensuring they are following EHS guidelines
Criteria:
24. Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent in a Science related subject or have suitable experience.
25. Have an interest in laboratory work.
26. Attention to detail.
27. Understanding of EH&S.
28. Ability to work unaided and use initiative.
29. Computer literate.
