Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist primary provision in Colne to recruit a Primary SEN Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting after the Easter break. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a supportive and well-established specialist setting.

The school is a specialist primary provision for pupils with special educational needs, supporting children who require a more personalised and structured approach to learning. The school focuses on developing communication, social skills, emotional wellbeing, and independence, alongside delivering an engaging and accessible curriculum tailored to each child’s ability.
The Role
As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons suitable for pupils with a range of additional needs
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide individualised learning support
Create a structured, positive classroom environment that supports emotional and behavioural needs
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure pupils achieve their potential
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive school team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, ideally within a primary or specialist setting
Demonstrates patience, resilience, and strong behaviour management skills
Is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
