Primary SEN Practitioner - Blyth Full-Time & Day-to-Day Roles Available
Monday–Friday | School Hours (8:30am–3:30pm)
We are seeking dedicated, supportive, and resilient Primary SEN Practitioners to work across a range of SEN schools in Blyth. These roles involve supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviours, helping them to thrive both socially and academically.
About the Role
You will be working within SEN settings, providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of additional needs. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs
Helping children access learning through tailored strategies and structured routines
Using positive behaviour approaches to manage and de‑escalate challenging situations
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
Encouraging emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
Following EHCP targets and contributing to ongoing progress reviewsWhat We’re Looking For

Experience working with pupils with SEN
Background in supporting behaviours that challenge
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Good understanding of behaviour management strategies
Strong communication skills and resilience
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable, not essential)
