This role is employed directly by Bourneside Electrical Services Ltd, and we are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Service & Installation Engineer to join Bourneside Electrical Services — someone confident working across Kingston Council sites to install, maintain and fault-find on: Fire alarm systems Access control systems Intruder alarms Panic alarms / staff assist systems Door entry & intercom systems You’ll be working across local authority buildings including offices, supported housing, depots and public facilities. This is a varied role with autonomy, a steady workflow, use of a modern, structured job management platform (Simpro), and guaranteed support from management. Key Responsibilities Service, maintenance & installation of fire and security systems. Fault finding and rectification across electrical security systems. Carrying out PPM works and annual servicing schedules. Working safely within Council buildings and sensitive environments. Completing reports, certificates and compliance documentation. Liaising with site staff, tenants and internal admin teams. Participating in an on-call rota (if required). Required Qualifications & Experience Essential Proven experience servicing fire and security systems. Competency on addressable & conventional fire alarm panels (e.g., Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Morley). Experience with access control (Paxton, ACT, etc.). Experience with intruder alarms (Texecom, Honeywell, Pyronix etc.). Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams and site schematics. Full UK driving licence. Strong fault-finding skills.
