NES Fircroft are supporting a key O&G client in Aberdeen, with a ROV Project Engineer role on a long term contract basis. The primary purpose is to support the project manager and coordinate with the client and vendor’s respecting processes & protocols, responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing, and updating of documentation. This will be a 12 month PAYE contract, working full time hours (37.5) per week and after initial training, will work a 3/2 hybrid shift pattern. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Complete documentation/manuals associated with newbuild Subsea / ROV systems & Equipment Review procedures and drawings in order to ensure practicality from an ROV operations point of view Awareness and understanding of our client's current requirements and, where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards, including statutory rules and regulations To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with policies on health, safety, quality and environmental matters To ensure that personal safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at riskRequired Experience and Skills: Completed engineering studies at a University or College level, or possess equivalent experience Strong knowledge of ROV offshore operations, in particular subsea construction and remote intervention Up to date with ISO (phone number removed) ‘Design and operation of subsea production systems – Part 8: Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) interfaces on subsea production systems Ability to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment Have a good knowledge of ROV system design and system-level engineering Efficient in Microsoft Office programs, MathCAD, and AutoCAD Ability to work without supervision, coordinate varied resources, actively contribute, and possess problem-solving skills Efficient communication skills at all levels and be confident in supervising other technical disciplines With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
