The Family and Specialist Support Team is a comprehensive, professional, high quality service for children and young people with a diverse range of neurological needs including ASC, ADHD, social communication delays, OCD, Tourette's, mental health issues and more. Our staff team deliver excellent services based on the needs of the individual, teaching skills and creating support solutions that enable individuals to manage the impact of their difficulties. Your role as specialist intervention advisor will be to work across a variety of settings to develop, plan and participate in programmes of work with the parents/carers, adults, young people and children that we support. This may include work in educational, community or residential setting.

Specialist Intervention Advisor
As an ideal specialist Intervention Advisor, you should:
 * Have an A‑level equivalent in social sciences (or a related subject) as well as an NVQ equivalent in social care or child care.
 * Desirably be qualified to degree level in a related field, or to have the capacity to work to degree level, as you will be supported to complete specialist training and qualifications as part of your role.
 * Have previous experience having worked or volunteered with children or young people with ASC conditions or other related concerns.
 * Have worked with families in a home environment and with multidisciplinary professionals in the provision of support.
 * Hold some knowledge of positive behaviour support or applied behavioural analysis.
 * PECS or Makaton training would be beneficial, but not essential.
 * Have a full, clean driving licence (with access to your own vehicle) and be willing to travel across Kent to provide support as required.
