If you love children, this could be the job for you
"When I come back from holiday, the children's faces light up." - Bobbi-Jo, former Apprentice
We're the London Early Years Foundation, or LEYF Nurseries; a family of 40 nurseries. Our people love working for us because we focus on the child and their family, giving them the best start in life.
LEYF is known for quality teachers, providing strong in-house training and opportunities for promotion. Our nurseries are independent and community-focused, with teams that support each other.
What's in it for you?
"I could come in sad … and just seeing one child could change my attitude for the whole day. I absolutely love it." - Jaida, Apprentice
* Training, promotions, and a competitive salary for the sector
* Generous pension scheme (7% contribution from us, 1% from you)
* 70% discount on childcare fees
* Up to 35 days off annually, including bank holidays, Christmas break, and your birthday (pro-rated for part-time hours)
* Sector-leading parental leave
* Additional benefits including Wellbeing app, shopping discounts, conference attendance, and team celebrations
A bit about the role
"I like the teamwork here. They've given me a lot of skills to help develop my career." - Estefania, Early Years Assistant
If you enjoy working with children and need a flexible part-time role, this position might be perfect. Typically, hours are from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, and the nursery operates year-round.
You will supervise meals, assist with tidying, help soothe children to sleep, and support activities for children who are awake.
No formal qualifications are required to start, but we can help you gain necessary training.
You will need:
* The right to work in the UK
* Availability to work throughout the year
* A strong work ethic
* Ability to safeguard and protect children
* A positive, reliable, and friendly attitude
