Salary and Benefits
Starting Salary: £39,000 (PIP) to £41,500 (WCA) per annum + bonus scheme and benefits.
£1,000 salary uplift after your first 6 months and a further £1,000 salary uplift after 12 months.

Hours
Monday to Friday 9 – 5, with no nights, weekends or shifts required.
Role Overview
We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Fareham who want to use and build upon their clinical skills and knowledge and benefit from the excellent work‑life balance and professional development that a career as a WCA Functional Assessor can give you.
In this role you will grow your medical knowledge of a wide variety of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions and undertake a combination of file‑work, face‑to‑face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP or ESA benefits. You will provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims. Such assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day‑to‑day life and performing work‑related activities.
Responsibilities
• Undertake file‑work, face‑to‑face and telephone/video assessments with PIP or ESA customers.
• Provide comprehensive reports for decision makers at DWP.
• Participate in comprehensive training to support customers and develop your career within the organisation.
• Engage in ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours protected per annum, and support revalidation.
Qualifications
Requirements:
* Minimum of 1‑year post‑registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
* Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions, and with a valid PIN.
* Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
* The ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
