Job Description
As a Senior Surveyor you will independently deliver complex professional services to public and private clients, establishing and managing client relationships, mentoring junior candidates, and contributing to business development.
Responsibilities
* Lead on Building Surveying, Technical Adviser, Project Management and Contract Administration commissions.
* Prepare specifications and AutoCAD drawings.
* Write survey and report for core Building Surveying services.
* Act as construction monitoring / NEC Supervisor / Clerk of Works.
* Ensure compliance with Project Delivery and QA procedures.
* Manage financial, commercial and risk aspects of fee‑based activities from inception to completion on own projects and within multidisciplinary teams.
* Support business development with existing clients and pursue new work.
* Assist in fee bid preparation and support business development activities.
* Mentor Graduate Building Surveyors within the National Building Surveying team.
Qualifications
* Chartered Building Surveyor (RICS or MIOB) with minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience.
* Extensive experience in core Building Surveying areas – condition surveys, feasibility reports, design, and contract administration/project management.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong JCT contract administration skills.
* Previous management of sub‑consultants and contractors.
* Ability to travel for short periods for work delivery.
