Chief Cardiac Physiologist/ Scientist - Devices
(Recruitment and Retention Payment of 12.5% of basic salary pa pro rata for two years from start date)
The Cardiac Department is seeking an experienced, accredited Devices Physiologist who is keen to join a fast paced and dynamic CRM team.
Our department sits within a wider Cardiology service which includes 15 Consultant Cardiologists with a variety of specialist roles, 2 cardiac cath labs providing both 24/7 interventional services and device implants (including CRT, HV, S-ICDs etc) and a variety of Specialist Nurses. The CRM team delivers both the invasive service within the labs, and the non-invasive investigations, with a large emphasis on remote monitoring of devices and OP and IP device clinics including CRT optimisation and complex lists. We also offer a Physiologist Led ILR implant service.
The department is made up of around 30 staff, including Clinical Scientists, Physiologists, Cardiographers and a range of trainees from STP students to Apprentice Associate Practitioners. Responsibilities
* Demonstrate competency in a range of non-invasive procedures, as well as be competent in all aspects of device and interventional service delivery.
* Deliver invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular services within the labs and clinics, with emphasis on device remote monitoring and CRT optimisation.
* Support the Physiologist Led ILR implant service and contribute to complex case lists.

Qualifications
* BSc Clinical Physiology (cardiology) or equivalent
* BHRS/IBHRE accreditation or equivalent
* Competence in a range of non-invasive procedures and device/interventional service delivery
* Experience as a device Physiologist with critical thinking and reasoning skills
