New Directions Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Classroom Assistants to work in a variety of welcoming primary schools across Leeds and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate, or someone looking to build a career in education, we would love to hear from you.
Your role could include:
Supporting pupils in the classroom to help them reach their full potential
Working with individuals and small groups on targeted learning activities
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Supporting pupils with additional learning or emotional needs
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
We’re looking for people who:
Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)
Are patient, caring, and enthusiastic
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Are flexible, reliable, and eager to learn
