The Role
Due to continued growth and a number of recent successful contract awards, our client is now seeking to appoint a Fitter required to work on a wide variety of heavy construction plant, crawler cranes, rigs, and various other machinery and equipment. You will be carrying out repairs, servicing, and planned/reactive/preventative maintenance on a wide range of large construction machinery and heavy plant. Candidates with experience working on this type of plant, equipment, or machines are encouraged to apply for this challenging and exciting opportunity. You will also be required to carry out the servicing, inspection, and repair of a fleet of company-owned plant and equipment that must be kept in a fit-for-purpose state at all times. You will be working on hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical systems; as such, a good understanding and practical experience in these areas is required. The position will also involve producing, keeping, and maintaining reports, servicing records, and other paperwork with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. To carry out this role successfully, you will also require a full UK driving licence.
