Daily Operational Control
1. Own shift-by-shift performance against OTD and OAE targets.
2. Align cross-functionally (Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality) to remove constraints immediately.
3. Enforce production standards and ensure adherence to standard work.
4. Control labour deployment and overtime spend.
5. Ensure material, tooling, and machine readiness before shift starts.
6. Escalate and resolve bottlenecks immediately.
7. Own production risk mitigation and drive recovery plans when targets are missed.
Performance & Discipline
8. Lead daily tier meetings with clear actions and ownership.
9. Hold supervisors accountable for safety, output, and quality.
10. Reduce scraps, rework, and unplanned downtime.
11. Challenge underperformance directly and constructively.
12. Drive 5S and workplace discipline.
13. Own performance dashboards and recovery tracking.
14. Analyse trends and eliminate systemic losses.
Continuous Improvement
15. Identify and eliminate losses impacting OAE.
16. Improve cycle time and workflow efficiency.
17. Work closely with Engineering to resolve recurring breakdowns.
18. Drive practical Lean improvements on the shop floor.
People Leadership
19. Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team leaders
20. Set clear expectations and performance standards and challenge underperformance
21. Build a culture of accountability and ownership
22. Support training and cross-skilling initiatives
23. Demonstrate ability to stabilise and control in high pressure environment.
24. Confident communicator who challenges constructively and sets clear expectations.
Compliance & Safety
25. Ensure full adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO standards.
26. Maintain safe systems of work
27. Act immediately on safety risks
28. Champion safe behaviour culture
29. Conduct routine EHS reviews and EHS audits on the shop floor
