Teaching Opportunities & Incentives
At EPNE, there are several exciting pathways for ex-service personnel who want to transition into teaching or education more broadly:
Taking Teaching Further (TTF)
This 2-year government-funded programme supports individuals with industry experience to retrain as FE (further education) teachers. Through TTF, FE providers receive funding to support early-career teachers, including support for teaching qualifications.

Teacher Retention Incentive Scheme
There is a Targeted Retention Incentive Payment available for eligible teachers in key subjects (such as maths, chemistry, computing, physics, technical and STEM – Construction & Engineering Routes).

These incentives are designed to reward and retain teachers in subjects where they’re most needed.
