A key role within our Commercial team, this position is based full-time at our Head Office in Tamworth. Purpose of the role Key deliverables will be developing pipeline opportunities that deliver revenue and margin targets whilst strengthening customer relationships which ensure Crowns alignment with their objectives. These are exciting times for Crown with a clear strategic roadmap to develop the business over the next three years. This role will be critical in the ultimate success of the companies objectives. Duties and Responsibilities : Building, Converting and closing new business pipeline opportunities Research, Identify and generate new business opportunities using internet, business directories, existing database and additional channels where appropriate Producing robust business plans that exceed sales and profit targets Dealing with new business enquiries and driving sales forward Building a detailed understanding of potential customers, markets and competitors Preparing proposals and quotations for new customers Ownership of response to tender enquiries Ensure effective implementation of all new customer accounts Collaborate with Marketing to develop sector/industry specific marketing campaigns/propositions Effective liaison and communication with other departments and teams, especially the Operations Team. T hink strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business Applicant Criteria: Experience in the Logistics industry desired Minimum Three years successful Business Development experience Experience of consultative selling across multiple sectors Experience of working with and achieving monthly/quarterly sales targets Demonstrate achievement of selling on a B2B and B2C basis Ability to negotiate at senior / C suite level Resilience, perseverance and excellent commercial awareness Highly organised and able to work well under pressure High level of proficiency with IT skills, e.g. Excel & PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective collaborative team member Generates enthusiasm and has a positive attitude to change. Ability to self-manage and act on own initiative Well presented, articulate with excellent time management Must have flexibility in regards working hours.
