Early Years Teaching Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Are you passionate about shaping children’s very first steps in education? We’re seeking a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) to join a warm, welcoming primary school in North Tyneside. The school is known for its inclusive and engaging environment, where children are encouraged to thrive through play-based learning and curiosity-driven activities. This role is ideal for someone with the right training and experience, who can support children with SEND and make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support play-based learning activities in the EYFS classroom
2. Work closely with teachers to create a safe, nurturing environment
3. Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND needs
4. Assist with preparing engaging resources and leading group/1:1 activities
5. Be a caring, reliable role model during these crucial early years
What We’re Looking For
6. A relevant childcare/teaching assistant qualification (minimum Level 2, ideally Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent)
7. Experience supporting early years or primary-aged children
8. Confidence working with pupils with SEND
9. A nurturing, enthusiastic approach to child development
10. A proactive, flexible team player
