The Role
We're looking for a skilled Small Works Security Engineer to carry out system additions, upgrades, remedial works, along with some reactive maintenance works.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys varied, hands-on work — from installing additional cameras and door access points to system expansions and hardware upgrade..
You'll be trusted to work independently, represent WRS professionally on-site, and deliver high standards of workmanship from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and commissioning of small to medium CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems
* Carrying out system upgrades and expansions.
* Completing remedial works identified by service engineers
* Small project installations from first fix through to commissioning
* Programming and configuring systems to manufacturer standards
* Supporting the Service Team with reactive fault calls when required
* Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota (additional payments and annual bonus provided)
* Providing clear documentation and reports using Uptick
* Liaising with clients and the WRS office to ensure smooth project delivery
* Maintaining high health & safety standards on-site
About You
* Proven experience installing and commissioning CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems
* Comfortable handling reactive fault-finding when required
* Confident working independently on small to medium-sized projects
* Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Experience on larger commercial or industrial sites preferred
* Full UK driving licence
* Professional, organised, and customer-focused
* Motivated and keen to develop within a growing company
