What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Command and Information (C&I) systems. Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating comprehensive systems models for over 12 major C&I systems, including Distributed Control Systems and Vehicle Control Systems.
* Collaborating closely with system owners to challenge and simplify system designs.
* Supporting the design of various C&I sub-systems for Secondary Propulsion, Platform Mechanical, and Platform Electrical.
* Managing stakeholders to ensure consistency across the Centralised C&I team.
* Contributing to the development of functional designs for systems within the Centralised C&I scope.
* Delivering on the engineering delivery plan, ensuring timely execution.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essentials:
* Degree qualified.
* Experience in the C&I domain.
* Proven ability to work with multi-discipline teams.
* Experience in requirements management within regulated industries such as Defence, Oil and Gas, or Nuclear.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Systems Engineering toolsets like CAMEO, Enterprise Architect, and DOORs.
* Experience in C&I design throughout the lifecycle, especially in early-stage design.
* Background in regulated industries such as Defence, Oil and Gas, or Nuclear.

The Centralised C&I Team:
Join us in defining and shaping the C&I design for the Royal Navy’s next-generation attack submarines. You will support the development of systems from concept to final design, collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, international partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of this critical project. Relocation support packages are available for eligible candidates across all Submarines roles.
