Infrastructure Engineer/Analyst (Hybrid / Chesterfield) - 12 Month FTC

About the Role:
This role involves hybrid working (currently 3 days in the office, 2 days from home) as part of a small team. You will resolve escalated technical issues, provide strategic and tactical technical solutions, liaise with third-party suppliers, and manage escalated issues from the service desk.
Technologies involved include Virtualisation (VMWare), SAN, Cloud, Windows Server, AD, Exchange, Office365, PowerShell, Networking (Meraki), Firewalls, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support multi-site technical environments including LAN, WAN, Microsoft services, Meraki, Network Security, Firewalls & VPNs.
2. Own escalated issues as 3rd line support, resolving queries within SLA.
3. Manage configuration, deployment, system monitoring, and maintenance of core IT infrastructure.
4. Work with VMWare, Windows Server, AD, Exchange, O365, Azure, and other Microsoft technologies.
5. Ensure efficient operation of third-party applications across platforms.
6. Maintain relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and external partners.
7. Support server and storage infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud-based.
8. Manage identity management and IaaS tools to streamline routine tasks.
9. Enforce security standards on client devices.
Essential Technical Skills:
Candidates should have exposure to most of the following:
* VMWare (good understanding)
* Active Directory (good understanding)
* Windows Server 2008, 2012, and related technologies
* O365, Azure, Exchange
* Networking (Meraki, Firewalls, Wireless, DHCP)
* PowerShell
* ITIL knowledge
