Milk Education is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and proactive Student Support Assistant to provide support to children and young people with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and learning difficulties.
2. Assist pupils in accessing lessons, staying engaged, and building positive learning habits.
3. Help adapt resources and differentiate tasks to meet individual learning needs.
4. Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence-building, and behaviour management.
5. Build positive, supportive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
6. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
Requirements:
7. Experience supporting children or young people (SEN experience highly desirable).
8. A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to support pupils with varied needs.
11. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
12. No teaching qualification required — experience and attitude are key.
