Locum Consultant Interventionist Radiologist (12‑month fixed term)
The department is looking for a 12 month fixed term locum Consultant Interventionist Radiologist to cover maternity leave. A specialist interest in gynaecological imaging is desirable. The role will involve cross‑site working to support Interventional Radiology at the Denmark Hill site.
We are looking for a proactive, compassionate and committed colleague to share in the challenge of providing patient‑centred acute and specialist care. The department offers a broad range of sub‑specialist opportunities such as ongoing development within interventional radiology and specialist areas within head and neck, cardiothoracic, gastrointestinal and acute radiology.
The remit of this role will be to enhance the delivery of Interventional Radiology services at the PRUH site and support general Radiology workloads. The post holder will work within the multi‑disciplinary team providing a range of Radiology services for Interventional Radiology.
Key Responsibilities
* Enhance delivery of Interventional Radiology services at PRUH site.
* Support general Radiology workloads.
* Provide home reporting solutions for all radiologists, including potential home reporting DCC sessions.
* Play an active role in the general workload of the Care Group.
* Commit to teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and associated professional groups.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of services depending on interests and experience.
* Cross‑site work supporting Interventional Radiology at Denmark Hill site.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Consultant level Radiologist, 12‑month fixed term locum post.
* Special interest in gynaecology imaging preferred to support gynaecology MDM.
* Proactive, compassionate and committed.
* Experience in Interventional Radiology desired.
* Ability to work effectively across multiple sites.
