Production Support Engineer
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Production Support Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Lymington.
Introduction
The Production Support Engineer will be akey member of the Operations team, responsible for ensuring efficient, high-quality production through effective process control, equipment readiness, documentation, and staff capability. The role acts as the first point of contact for manufacturing issues and plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement and production culture.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the shop floor and production staff are equipped with the appropriate tools, documentation, and training to support efficient, high-quality manufacturing activities.
2. Liaise closely with the Quality & Process Engineer to identify, investigate, and resolve quality-related issues.
3. Lead / support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen activities.
4. Ensure manufacturing equipment (including formers and presses) is maintained and serviced to agreed standards and available for use as required.
5. Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day manufacturing issues, escalating to the Operations Manager when necessary.
