An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute team at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. We are looking for a full‑time Band 4 Therapy Practitioner to join our established, friendly and experienced team.
The role requires a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who can work autonomously as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will show initiative, have good communication and organisational skills, and be able to prioritise a caseload in a busy acute setting.
We expect candidates to have experience in a Therapy Assistant role, preferably in an Acute setting, and be looking to further develop their career.
Key responsibilities
* Provide acute rehabilitation to maximise independence and facilitate discharge from the hospital setting.
* Work closely with Therapy colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Rotate through areas including General Medicine, Cardiac, Surgical and Elderly Care as part of the Acute adult inpatient team.
* Deliver care within a 7‑day service, requiring regular weekend working.
Requirements
* Hold a valid UK manual car driver licence or be able to arrange alternative means for community visits (unless medically exempt).
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team, prioritise caseloads, and communicate effectively.
* Experience in a Therapy Assistant role is preferred.
Working patterns
* Flexible working patterns may be considered in line with individual requirements.
* Regular weekend working will be required due to the 7‑day service.
