Job Description

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for:

3. Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
4. Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within the system.
5. Collaborate with the wider team to address payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
6. Prepare payroll reports and provide insights to senior management as required.
7. Ensure compliance with tax laws, pensions, and other statutory requirements.
8. Support audits by providing necessary payroll data and documentation.
9. Continuously improve payroll processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
10. Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
11. Work on benefits related projects such as an electric car scheme.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Specialist should have:

12. Proven experience in payroll processing and management.
13. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and related software.
14. A desire to encourage process improvements and innovations within the role
15. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
17. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
