Roses Quality Care Ltd are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including senior care, hospice care, and assisted living environments. Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
* Support clients with mobility and physical activities, which may involve heavy lifting or transferring individuals safely.
* Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as necessary.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
* Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies while following established protocols.
Experience
* Previous experience in senior care, hospice care, or assisted living settings is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with dementia care and behaviour management techniques is an advantage.
* Certification in first aid is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
* Experience in nursing homes or childcare settings can also be beneficial.
* A caring attitude and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.
