Donald Russell is a quality food business with a rich heritage in butchery based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. With three key arms to our business, we have been supplying hotel and restaurants groups in the UK since 1974 including Malmaison, Hotel Du Vin, 63 rd, La Relais de Venise and The Goring to name a few. Our trade export arm exports to markets around the world including Europe and Asia, and we have been selling direct to consumers via our website and contact centre for almost 30 years. Sourcing the highest quality products is a critical part of our business, and in support of this we are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join the team. Reporting into our Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator owns the purchasing of ingredients whilst also supporting raw material and finished goods procurement. This is a varied role within a small team, making it a great opportunity to make a real impact on our business and our employee experience. Main responsibilities include: Implementing the ecommerce strategy for the ecommerce platform, supporting the Ecommerce Manager to deliver the development roadmap for the website, monitoring projects and ensuring it is maintained and optimised to drive conversion and revenue on time and on budget. Assisting with all technical aspects of the website including ecommerce platform (Magento or BigCommerce), order processing, checkout, payment, search & discovery, personalisation, etc Ensuring the website is always operational and processing customer orders. Merchandising – managing all online products and pricing including implementation of fortnightly trade plan, updating website product copy and imagery, delivery dates, stock and discount codes. Supporting the Ecommerce Manager in the executing our CRO programme UX, UI and technical features to improve conversion rate and customer experience which adhere to brand guidelines. Ensuring all aspects of the website including products, page titles, sitemap, and meta descriptions are well optimised and maintained for SEO. Supporting the integrated marketing and product strategies across the website on time including landing page development and optimisation. Understanding all Ecommerce metrics for the website, including Site Speed, Pages per visit, bounce rate, conversion rate etc. and aid the Ecommerce Manager in analysing and presenting results. About you: To be successful in this role you should have; An understanding of design, with an understanding of the impact it can have on customer experience. Technically savvy with an understanding of e-commerce principles and platforms – preferable BigCommerce or Shopify. Excellent accuracy and a keen eye for detail. A can do attitude and proven organisational and project management skills, together with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and adapt within a changing environment. A qualification in marketing, digital media, web development or other equivalent/relevant areas (preferred). Previous experience in an ecommerce, web development or product development role (preferred).
