We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly organised School Business Manager (SBM) to join a well-established and forward-thinking school in Nottingham, starting ASAP. This is a key leadership role within the school, supporting the Headteacher and senior leadership team to ensure the effective management of finance, operations, and resources.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the school’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
* Oversee procurement, contracts, and value-for-money processes
* Manage HR administration, including staffing, recruitment, and payroll liaison
* Ensure compliance with statutory, financial, and regulatory requirements
* Oversee premises, health and safety, and facilities management
* Line manage administrative, finance, and premises staff
* Support the Headteacher and governors with strategic planning and reporting
* Manage risk assessments, policies, and procedures
* Oversee data protection, GDPR, and safeguarding compliance
* Contribute to the overall leadership and development of the school
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Have previous experience as a School Business Manager or in a similar role
* Have strong financial management and budgeting experience
* Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Be confident working with senior leaders and governors
* Have good knowledge of education finance, HR, and compliance
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
