The Role We now have an exciting new role for an outstanding CRM Marketing Assistant, reporting to the Senior Customer Retention and Development Manager, to help us deliver engaging, personalised communications that inspire our visitors and members, and support our mission to prevent extinction. As part of our dynamic Marketing team, you ll play a key role in crafting and delivering customer-centric campaigns across email, SMS, push notifications and more. You ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our messages are timely, relevant, and impactful, enhancing the visitor journey and deepening relationships with our audiences. We re looking for someone who can: Design, build and deploy email campaigns using our marketing automation platform Segment audiences, working with customer data to support personalised communications Collaborate with creative teams to build compelling content Support campaign planning and reporting with insights and performance metrics Ensure GDPR compliance and data integrity across all CRM activities Work with stakeholders to bring campaigns to life across the zoo and The Reserve What makes Chester Zoo a great place to work? The Package Contract Type - Permanent Working Hours: Typically 8:30am 5pm, Monday to Friday with some flexibility on start and end times. Occasional weekend or evening working as required by the role Salary - 26,500 Flex working from home for up to two days in five 33 days annual leave plus the option to buy or sell up to 5 days Staff pass so you can visit the zoo during your time off, plus multiple complimentary tickets for your friends and family Cycle to work scheme Healthcare plan and employee assistance programme Discounted gym membership Discounts on cinema tickets, restaurants, high street shops and more via Perks Pension scheme with generous employer contributions up to 9% Our Requirements Familiarity with CRM systems and Marketing Automation platforms Understanding of digital marketing, customer lifecycles and campaign management Technical skills in database management including managing lists, updating records and using CRM searches to retrieve specific data sets Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications, specifically the ability to manipulate data within Excel Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise with internal teams and external agencies Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines through effective time management Good attention to detail and accuracy and a creative flair to put together messages into compelling communications Ability to interpret campaign data to feed into reporting Basic design and copywriting skills for adapting existing messaging and imagery to fit within different types of communications Although not essential, the following would be desirable: Familiarity with Dot Digital and/ or Access Charity CRM Exposure to campaign planning and execution Setting up and running campaign automation programmes Experience of working within a marketing and/or customer development role Experience of working within the visitor attraction or charity sectors A relevant professional qualification in Marketing Shortlisting of applications and arrangement of interviews will take place while the advert is live, candidates are therefore encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible.
