You are responsible for the technical oversight of electrical equipment procurement contracts. You act as the bridge between the client (e.g., NNB/EDF), the internal engineering teams, and external suppliers to ensure equipment meets nuclear safety and quality standards.
Principal Missions & Responsibilities
* Contract Management: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the client regarding electrical equipment contracts.
* Supplier Oversight: Manage suppliers during the execution phase, monitoring their schedule compliance, costs, scope of supply, and technical studies.
* Technical Review: Review and approve supplier documentation (drawings, manuals, test reports) to ensure they align with technical and nuclear safety standards.
* Coordination: Lead a multidisciplinary team of technical leads, system engineers, and subject matter experts to resolve technical issues and hit deadlines.
* Modifications & Non-Conformities: Manage contract changes (using tools like Contract Transfer Sheets) and assess the impact of technical non-conformities originating from the construction site.
* Interface Management: Coordinate with other disciplines (Low Voltage, Cabling, HVAC) and the qualification teams (often based in France) to ensure integration.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s level preferred).
* Technical Knowledge: * Familiarity with EPR design principles and I&C architecture.
* Knowledge of electrical regulations such as RCC-E (nuclear-specific), NFC 15-100, or BS7671.
* Experience with electrical distribution components (e.g., switchboards, transformers).
