An established, forward-thinking veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident veterinary professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role within a supportive, well-equipped and progressive environment.
About the Practice:
This purpose-built, 4,000 sq. ft veterinary practice with state of the art equipment has been thoughtfully designed to create a calm, spacious and modern setting for both patients and clients, enabling the delivery of outstanding clinical care.
Located in Kidderminster, the practice benefits from excellent transport links, including direct trains to Birmingham, and easy access to local green spaces, offering a strong work-life balance.
The Team:
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and compassionate team made up of:
Practice Manager, Clinical Nurse Manager, Experienced Veterinary Surgeons and a Skilled Nursing team.
The practice promotes a positive, inclusive culture where team wellbeing, professional development and high-quality patient care are prioritised.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical leadership and support to the veterinary team
* Deliver high standards of patient care and client service
* Drive clinical governance and ensure compliance with protocols
* Work closely with the Practice Manager on rota planning and team wellbeing
* Mentor and develop team members, fostering a positive culture
* Maintain a calm, solutions-focused approach in a fast-paced environment
Candidate Requirements:
* RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
* Ability to motivate, mentor and support a team
* A proactive and collaborative approach
