DBR Group are recruiting for an immediate start Van Driver & Warehouse Operative. The role is a 50/50 split position, meaning, over the month, you will work as a Van driver for half of the time and a Warehouse Operative for half of the time. This is a Temp to Perm position, so you will have a permanent job at the end of the period. Working for a leading and well recognised Automotive Glass manufacturer, you will be responsible for the loading, unloading and allocation of vehicle glass in the Warehouse and the delivery of the product to various delivery points across the North West. Full product training will be given. You must have previous experience as a professional Van driver and have worked in a Warehouse environment. 2 years minimum experience on your driving licence and no more than 3 minor points for insurance purposes. You must be physically fit and able to lift items such as Car windscreens. You must have an excellent knowledge of the North West. Warehouse Job Description Receiving deliveries from the European Distribution Centre (EDC), putting stock away in the correct location. Picking Customer orders and loading relevant vehicles in accordance with a delivery schedule. Quality Control - minor rectification work, where there are small defects, you may be required to polish the glass. Undertake and maintain good housekeeping, ensuring that all areas are kept clean, clear and free from hazard or obstruction. Perform stock takes as and when required. Driving Job Description Ensuring all glass is delivered in a suitable condition and in a timely manner to the intended destination. Always maintain a professional appearance in both presence and driving style. Must hold a full Driving License with a minimum of 3 years driving experience. Experience of driving 3.5t vehicle (Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit) Will undergo a Driving License check with the DVLA. Good understanding of SOPs to be followed and adhered to Good attention to detail will be required to put stock away and pick stock from alpha numeric code. FLT licence advantageous Flexibility to work shifts and Saturdays. May need to work different shifts to cover holidays/sickness. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A good geographical understanding of customer service area Full P.P.E to be worn at all times.
