We are recruiting for a Senior Sous Chef to join our team. This position is within our hotel kitchen, reporting directly to our Head Chef.

In January 2024, we acquired the 17th-century Barnsley House hotel, located in the quintessential Cotswolds village of Barnsley, just four miles from Cirencester. THE PIG in the Cotswolds features a classic English country garden that evolves with the seasons, including a kitchen garden supplying produce for our 25-mile menu.
The Role:
As Senior Sous Chef, you will be a strong leader with excellent people skills, supporting our Head Chef in managing the kitchen team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Overseeing the overall running of the kitchen.
* Supporting food costs and budgeting management.
* Collaborating with Kitchen Gardeners to utilize garden produce.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling, and dietary requirements.
* Encouraging team development and supporting skill enhancement.
* Leading, teaching, and inspiring kitchen apprentices.
Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a similar establishment is required.
