The Livingston site is responsible for creating packaging for well known drinks brands and houses significant printing technology. Role: Machine Operative Location: DS Smith Packaging, Muir Rd, Livingston EH54 5DP Rate: £15.30 Per Hour Contract length: until 31/12/2025 initially Shift Patterns: Rotational shifts consisting of: earlies, backs and nights YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK TO ALL SHIFT PATTERNS Start: ASAP Responsibilities: Operating machinery to create bespoke packaging solutions from corrugated card Ensuring efficiency is maximised and downtime is kept to a minimum at all times Adhering to productivity and performance targets whilst maintaining the highest of standards Conducting maintenance checks and tasks including cleaning the machinery Adhering to UK Health and Safety legislation at all times and encouraging others to do the same Reporting Health and Safety issues and incidents to management in real time Operating within a safe systems of work (SSOW) Providing input towards improvement initiatives processing machinery and material handling equipment i...
