Financial Accountant required for a large organisation in Poole where you will provide financial expertise, governance and reporting. They are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to support a significant accounting standards transition project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in implementing new requirements while working alongside finance, systems and audit specialists.What You'll Be DoingLeading and supporting the transition to updated accounting standardsGathering, analysing and validating financial data to ensure compliance with new reporting requirementsPreparing and documenting accounting processes, journals and adjustmentsSupporting the production of statutory accounts and year-end reportingWorking closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth transition and audit processDelivering guidance and support to finance colleagues and stakeholders on new accounting requirementsAssisting with financial systems updates, reporting structures and chart of accounts changesWhat We're Looking ForQualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Strong experience in financial and statutory accountingExperience of accounting standards implementation projectsUnderstanding of financial controls, governance and reporting processesStrong analytical skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlinesConfident communicator who can work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersAn excellent working environment and range of enhanced benefits is offered along with hybrid working of approx.
