We’re seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher for an Alternative Provision school in Stockport, supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. About the Role: This is a full-time role suited to a teacher with proven experience supporting pupils who display complex behavioural needs, often resulting from trauma, adverse childhood experiences, or SEND. You'll work as part of a dynamic, therapeutic team who place pupil well-being and relationship-building at the heart of the school’s ethos. Key Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS – essential. Strong confidence managing challenging behaviour in and out of the classroom. Skilled in using de-escalation strategies and promoting a restorative, nurturing classroom environment. Team Teach trained (highly desirable). Experience in Alternative Provision, PRUs or SEMH settings is a strong advantage. A trauma-informed, pupil-centred approach.
