Overview
Science Teacher - SEMH: Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to deliver Science at a Pupil Referral Unit in the M12 area. The setting supports pupils in Key Stages 3&4 with SEMH needs that have been permanently excluded from mainstream education.
Responsibilities
* Teaching clearly structured lessons, which engage and motivate children to meet individual needs
* Understanding the barriers to learning faced by children with SEMH, supporting their emotional wellbeing
* Planning and leading teaching and learning activities
* Planning, organising and prioritising records
Position Details
* Position: SEMH Science Teacher
* Location: Ardwick
* Type of Work: Temp to Perm
* Minimum Rate of Pay: £250 per day, depending on experience
* Start date: Jan 2026
Experience, Training & Qualifications
* Previous experience delivering Science to GCSE level, in a similar setting
* Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
* Ability to build rapport with pupils, parents and staff members
Eligibility
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional references
