The council is seeking a Property Lawyer to join its Legal Services Team to support investment and prosperity for Torbay, its residents, businesses and wider communities. This is a fast-paced, varied caseload role in which you will be a suitably qualified professional across either the public or private sector, with a focus on property matters.

* Undertaking the role of a Property Lawyer, handling a fast-paced and varied caseload in either the public or private sector.
* Support key agendas related to investment and prosperity for Torbay, its residents, businesses and wider communities.
* Provide legal advice and guidance on property-related matters as part of the Legal Services Team.
Requirements
Skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to give clear and accurate legal advice.
Knowledge
* A developing knowledge of the law and procedures within the specialist discipline.
* A general awareness of the policies, aims and objectives of the Council.
Experience & Qualifications
* Experience of working within a legal environment.
* Admitted and practising Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (or equivalent).
Other
As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
