About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils in their learning and development, working closely with class teachers to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
* Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
* Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and activities
* Provide support for pupils with additional needs, including SEN
* Help maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment
* Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing among pupils
About You
* Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable
* A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not essential
